I firmly believe in the nursing model of health care. By this I mean that I look at each patient as a whole – the physical, emotional and social aspects of her life and how these affect her health. By following this holistic model, the patient and I can work together as a team to meet her health goals. As a nurse-midwife, I believe that pregnancy is a natural process. My goal is to provide evidence-based care and health education that will allow a patient to make informed decisions throughout her care and ultimately have the pregnancy and birth experience she desires.
